A Cultural Celebration is a performance sculpture that speaks on the frustration towards the relentless, self-inflicted transcultural pursuit of true identity, validation, and belonging. Techniques from traditional cartonerias were used to construct a blank piñata filled with soil. The artist then blindly destroyed the piece and reassebled for exhibition.
