Formalism of Muliebrity No. I is a call for space to grieve the born commitment to maternity, the consequences of choice within womanhood, and the ephemerality of fertility. The performance includes peeling of a fresh pomegranate, the seeded fruit picked and placed in a nest encased in cement, then crushed by hand.
